We gathered Monday, December 31, 2012, at 6 a.m., greeted by the glowing luminarias lining the walkways to Central Reform Congregation. Inside the foyer we were welcomed by the mellow sounds of RAVEN WOLF C. Felton Jennings on flute, while friends of Judy Hopen provided us with an opportunity to walk one of her labyrinths and peruse photos of the many lovely and vibrant expressions of Judy's joy for life.

As folks headed into the sanctuary, they received bottles of bubbles, and sparkly stick-on flowers to wear to show their participation in "The Flowering of Peace", many stopping to sign the guestbook, or to admire the tables adorned with vases of fresh flowers, a host of angels, decorative eggs, and flickering tea lites. Banners, lanterns, and windchimes added to the welcoming beauty of the setting.

The musical line-up featured the musical artistry of RAVEN WOLF C. Felton Jennings II, the angelic vocals of Margaret Waddell, the vocal & guitar wizardry of Tim Mead AND Brian Clarke, the amazing percussion and spoken word of Robert Fishbone, and the bells & drums of World Percussion Ensemble JOIA. The warm & wonderful Rabbi Randy Fleisher welcomed congregants to Shabbot Shalom, (meaning shelter of peace) Central Reform Congregation at 5020 Waterman (at Kingshighway), where we hold the event. "Green Jean" Ponzi shared Earth Wisdom, Jan Marra lead us in "The Voice Project", and event organizer Jeannie Breeze facilitated the meditation. Luminarias lit the pathways to the entrance, as doors opened at 5:15 a.m. for silent prayer and meditation before the 6 a.m. service, and, as always, a pot-luck breakfast followed.
